Yes the news fader can get annoying sometimes, and now you have the option to disable it. Why do I even have it on? I have it on because of quick messages to our guests, and mostly for important news. Usually for important news I'll display a little message in the news fadar and then announce the news in a thread. But its mostly for our guests.
So if you'd like to disable the news fader simply go to your profile and click modify. Then scroll down towards the bottom there should be an option called "Show News Fader" select "No" from the drop down box and there you have it.
